When Marla first decided she wanted to make ball jewelry, she described the idea to her team by taking a tennis ball and placing it in a box and spinning it around to echo the functionality of ball bearings. Really. Around here, the ideas are always the easy part, it's the of making of them that is always the challenge...to make things function, beautifully like our DiMe Interlocking Jewelry Pieces ...this is what keeps us up at night. So when it came to this notion of sphere jewelry, where all of the balls would roll independently, it was a real challenge we had to solve for. We wanted to create something, in lots of iterations, that would fit perfectly in our Fiddling Series, a series we launched during the pandemic, which is probably how people started referring to us as Designer Fidget Jewelry. Anyway, here we are, at the bottom of the page doing what we do best (other than making hard-working jewelry)...digressing.
