When Marla discovered two weird little 17th-century objects with discs that spin in opposite directions to release a side piece — with “Musgrave” engraved on them — she was immediately obsessed with figuring out whether the mechanism could become jewelry. It could. With a few modifications, this very old, very sophisticated mechanism became a Lock. We lovingly called it the Musgrave.

The silver Baby Musgrave Lock has a beautiful milgrain finish on the closure, reminiscent of the closure on our Micro Lock. There is something especially satisfying about taking a mechanism this intricate and historically inspired and rendering it in silver, at this scale.

We love it as a bracelet. We love it as a necklace. It is a natural-born charm holder.

To open/close - Turn top dial to divet, arm will open, when the dial is released, it will go back to closed and locked position.

Please make sure you choose an address for delivery where someone is available to sign for it. Our standard shipping in the continental U.S. is complimentary for all orders over $2,000. Overseas shipping is $75.00. Overnight shipping within the U.S. is $30. Please note we are unable to ship to a P.O. Box.
