Customer Experience Associate

As Customer Experience Associate, you will work primarily with our online business. You are the voice of Marla Aaron to our customers and you advocate for our customers to the rest of the Marla Aaron team. You will see purchases from start to finish, which includes everything from communicating with the customer to helping them as they make purchase decisions, to processing the orders, through to shipment. You will be trained on our Customer Experience Policy and learn and transmit our values across all dimensions.

You will also work closely with the Director of Customer Experience on projects that play a role in the way our customers fall in love with our jewelry. And they may be exciting and fun.


The Details:

  • Manage, process and fulfill daily orders in a timely manner
  • Become resident expert in our specific packaging protocol
  • Pack and ship all orders that will be sent out on a daily basis
  • Communicate regularly with our inventory manager in order to maintain our product inventory.
  • Work closely with customers via email and phone to make purchase decisions.
  • Respond in a timely manner to email requests.
  • Stay up to date on and abide by our Customer Experience Policy while helping to grow and improve upon the way we relate to our customers.
  • Assist in executing and planning various projects that play a role in the way our customers interact with our brand.
  • Monitor our social media and provide customer assistance where needed.

  • Are able to empathize and have the ability to put yourself in the customer's shoes
  • Find the positive in negative situations.
  • Know how to communicate effectively by phone, by email, by text, by social media. In person.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and has a desire and ability to learn the technology necessary to improve workflow, whatever that may be.
  • Love organization in a Marie Kondo sort of way.
  • Love jewelry and fashion but you love the human race even more.
  • Are willing to take on tasks that may fall outside of your job description --this will happen--you roll with it.

We are a rebellious little company and we make jewelry and other objects in New York City. They are beautiful and people seem to love them. What began with one lock is now an entire collection designed to be worn in infinite ways and used as “jewel tools” with individuals’ own collections—to redefine the “precious” in jewelry with individuality. The collection is sold in select independent stores in the US and around the world and online.
