We hope this finds you and yours well and ready for the holidays. We appreciate your attention during a time where there’s a lot to compete with…family notwithstanding, so let’s just do what we do and get into it!

Today, we are launching KNOT the String Project.

Knot the what? Walk with us…

In true form—Marla sabotaging our own collection by making something that competes with something we make already—here's Knot the String Project, the String Project without the loops.

Why would we do this?

While trying to find the perfect material to pair with our hand-painted, porcelain Nymphenburg Lock we realized that the the String Project but with no loops, was the perfect modern foil that would be durable, modern and delicate enough to slip on the Lock's body.

We loved it so much and immediately saw the versatility of a length of string, finished in gold, perfect for knotting and adding other things...or not, but always with a knot! Everyone could experience the joy of playing with a string. While this is Knot the String Project, it is most certainly NOT just a string. On each end you’ll find 18k gold "nibs” that add weight and make your knots lay just so. If you are new here, Dyneema—a material 15x stronger than steel, and also used in our String Project—holds knots with strength and beauty. The String Project is its first fine jewelry application. It is very satisfying to tie… you’ll see. 

But nothing is as satisfying as all the things you can do with it.

They come in all 8 colors of the String Project. We will definitely deep dive with you on knots and some of our favorite ways to wear them… so stay tuned for that.

And if you do DO have a spare moment and would like to come pop by our showroom...which, if you’re new here, is unlike any other jewelry shopping experience...we are having two days (two!) of open showroom hours – no appointment necessary. Just show up. Play jewelry. Shop if you’d like. Marla will be there offering hot tips like "if you have an Everything Box, don’t get your mother-in-law a Baby Everything Box." We will have refreshments and snacks and it’s actually a wonderful way to experience all that our hard-working pieces can do.
